KT-M10D digital frost guard

KT- M10D is an advanced, microprocessor-controlled thermostat, specially developed to monitor and protect water supply and wastewater pipes against frost. This thermostat has been developed on the basis of many years' experience with frost protection in Greenland, and it is optimally adapted to this use with regard to immunity to voltage variation and electric noise, among other things.
The KT- M10D thermostat can be connected to either 1 or 2 temperature sensors and has a potential-free relay output for operation of switches or the like.
The desired temperature is set on a Thumbwheel switch. The first temperature sensor to register a temperature under the set temperature activates the output terminal, which remains activated until the desired temperature is attained. The registered temperature for sensor 1 is continually shown on the display of the thermostat and the temperature for sensor 2 can be read with the push of a button.
Besides the setting of the temperature, a number of other functions can be programmed by using the Thumbwheel switch and the other keys on the front of the thermostat. Temperature hysteresis can be adjusted, 1 or 2 sensors attached and compensation for long cables to each sensor can be undertaken here. Moreover, each thermostat can be assigned an address for communication of data.
Error surveillance
The microprocessor monitors the sensors constantly and indicates if an error occurs or if the temperature falls under 0 EC with a red lamp on the front panel. At the same time, the alarm output of the thermostat will be activated and heat switched on. The alarm output terminal is designed for connection to a special alarm module, type KT- A.
Communication of data
All the functions of the thermostat can be monitored with the help of a PC via an RS-485 data communications connection. Several RS-485 lines can be connected to a PC, enabling central monitoring of up to 32 thermostats on each line.
